The Koori Mail is owned by Indigenous Australians through five Aboriginal community organisations based in northern New South Wales. Its board of directors and editor are all Aboriginal people. The newspaper is based in Lismore. It has correspondents and contributors throughout Australia. More than 9,150 copies of the Koori Mail are sold each fortnight. The Koori Mail has been independently audited for its paid circulation, which continues to grow.
